As Maddie will tell you, Gung Hay Fat Choy means Happy New Year! The Chinese New Year fell on February 10th this year. Maddie and her mom spent time in our classroom on Tuesday to teach about the special holiday they celebrate.

| Red envelopes were passed around. On New Year's Day red envelopes are often filled with money or candy and given as gifts for good luck. |
