It's vertebrate week in the Pony class. We're studying animals with backbones including mammals, amphibians, birds, fish and reptiles. Lucky for us we have many of those right here at Country Day School.
| For Animal Adventures this week we're searching for animals with feathers (birds) or fur (mammals) |
| Chickens have feathers... |
| Dagny found one |
| Aidan writing "burro" under "fur" |
| Tuesday's Animal Adventure group by the furry goats and sheep |
| Merry helped pour the mixture for an amphibian skin sensory experience |
| Caitie, Solomon and Dagny helped too! |
| Jonah and Gigi playing with frogs and water |
| Aidan and Caroline were racing each other as we acted out the story "The Tortoise and the Hare" |
| Elizabeth said that amphibians are her favorite type of vertebrate |
| Compared to the other vertebrates, most Pony Friends picked mammals as their favorite. We had fun graphing and counting together. Stay tuned for more photos from our week. |
